Can we talk about the future of this country?

Like, what the damn is happening? We made some slight progress with hundreds of steps back as a nation. It looks like everything is fine when you walk through downtown, but right under your feet, we could collapse anytime.

I slept two or three hours, then woke up in the morning, knowing hundreds of souls had been lost. I was in disbelief; I no longer felt heavy-eyed, yet the headache struck. Another ‘just another statistic’ should be added because of ignorance, insolence, and impunity.

I drove on a highway to the office, seeing the sunrise several times with tears dropped. A year apart, I phoned my sis, being warned to be calm. I met my bro months ago and surprisingly enjoyed sharing despair.

I might face trouble writing this, but let me say it once. We are governed by some crooks, represented by a bunch of rotten lawmakers, surveilled by apparatus using our tax money in a soon-to-be completely dysfunctional system. Thanks to oligarchs and some untouchables.

Even when you believe you will see some light at the end of the tunnel, I don’t know; this state goes beyond help. Just do your job and save your family and precious circles!
